External engineers

Independent biomedical engineers can take on EquipNet service jobs at facilities without an internal team.

EquipNet isn't currently accepting open sign-ups from external engineers. MEDevice onboards engineers directly — contact equipnet@medevice.africa if you're interested.

How jobs work

  1. Find work. Jobs lists open jobs that EquipNet has assessed and the facility has approved. Open one to see the equipment, location (View on Map) and scope of work.
  2. Bid. Choose when you can attend and select Submit Bid. You can't bid for two jobs at the same date and time.
  3. Get assigned. EquipNet picks an engineer and emails you "Bid Accepted". The job appears in My Jobs.
  4. Complete. After the visit, select Complete Job and fill in the job card: work done, test results, materials used, final status, completion date, duration, a rating of the facility, and photos. Add an incident report if something went wrong. Under a vendor contract, use Close with Vendor Service.
  5. Approval. The facility reviews and completes the request. You're emailed "Job Completion Approved".
