Job card sign-off

A job card records the work done: findings, tests, parts used and final status. The people who raised and oversee the request sign it off.

Internal team job cards

When an internal engineer completes a ticket, sign-off goes in this order:

flowchart LR
    A[Engineer completes
job card] --> B[Reporter confirms]
    B --> C[Head Biomed approves]
    C --> D[Department Head /
Superadmin signs off]
  • Reporter — the person who raised the request. If they don't respond within 3 days, the chain moves on without them.
  • Head Internal Biomed — checks the technical work.
  • Department Head (their departments) or Facility Superadmin — final sign-off.

Sign off

  1. Open Approvals / Job Card Approvals (doctors and nurses), or Team Job Cards / Job Cards in the sidebar (Superadmin, Department Heads).
  2. Open the job card and review it.
  3. Select Sign off job card.

Raise a concern

Not happy with the work? Select Raise a concern instead, explain why, and Send concern. The engineer and Head Biomed are emailed. The Head then amends the job card, reopens the job for rework, or responds — and you're notified.

Requests handled by EquipNet

When an EquipNet engineer finishes, you get "Job Completion Request from Biomedical Engineer".

  1. Open the request from Service Requests → View Job Card.
  2. Review the work, rate the engineer (1–5) and add remarks.
  3. Select Complete Service Request.

For preventive maintenance, completing the request updates the equipment's last service date.
