PPM schedule¶
Planned preventive maintenance (PPM) keeps equipment safe and reliable. EquipNet schedules it automatically from each device's last service date and service frequency.
Who can do this: Superadmin Department Head (view & export) · Internal biomeds plan and do the work — see PPM planner.
How PPM is scheduled¶
- Each device's next PPM date = last service date + service frequency (months).
- When it's due, EquipNet automatically creates a Preventive Maintenance service request. If an engineer was assigned in the planner, it goes straight to them.
- When the job is completed, the last service date updates and the cycle repeats.
Nothing scheduled?
Equipment without a last service date or frequency appears under Unscheduled Assets. Fill them in there (direct link) and select Save.
View the schedule¶
Open PPM Schedule (sidebar → Assets & Maintenance). Tabs:

| Signed Schedule Uploads | Signed-off paper schedules. |
Department Heads see only their departments. PPM History lists completed PPM.
Export and sign off¶
- Department Schedule (PDF) — print for sign-off.
- Aggregated Inventory List (Excel) — for planning and budgeting.
- Upload Signed PPM Schedule — upload the signed copy under Signed Schedule Uploads. Use Supersede to replace it with a newer version.
