Roles & permissions¶

Each person has one role per branch. The role decides which menu items and buttons they see. Admins assign roles when inviting users.

Facility roles¶

Role	What they can do
Facility Superadmin	Everything, across all branches. Created at signup.
Branch Admin	Runs one branch: equipment, bulk upload, asset counts, transfers, service requests (incl. approving staff requests), users, internal biomeds, quotes & costs, reports.
Procurement Officer	Equipment (view/add/edit), spare parts & part requests, PPM procurement, quotes & costs, reports, subscription & billing.
Department Head	Equipment, service requests, transfers, asset counts and job-card sign-off — only for their assigned departments. PPM schedule view.
Doctor / Nurse	View equipment, raise and track service requests, sign off job cards, asset counts, start transfers.
Maintenance Staff	Maintenance & IT jobs only (job pool, tasks, history).
Viewer (Read-only)	View equipment and service requests.

Role	What they can do
Head Internal Biomed	Leads the team: assigns tickets, approves job cards and PPM claims, manages equipment, spare parts, transfers, users and branches. No finance access.
Branch Head Internal Biomed	Same as Head, for one branch, plus finance and internal-biomed management.
Internal Biomed (Member)	Picks up and completes tickets, claims PPM, manages equipment, spare parts, transfers and asset counts.

Role	What they can do
County Admin	Manage county members and member hospitals.
County Viewer	Read-only county dashboards and analytics.
County Principal Biomed	Read-only view of a member hospital's internal biomed portal.

External Biomedical Engineer — works EquipNet marketplace jobs. See External engineers.
EquipNet Admin — MEDevice staff who approve accounts, assess requests and manage billing.
